Sorry if this is TMI.
The last 2 days Iv been going for a number 2 a lot more and back ache. Then last night I started to get sharp stabbing pains on and off on the right side under my bump with lower back pain.
And it's the same today but it's also in the middle bit of my what I think is my cervix.
Is this normal?
Thanks

Sounds like baby has gone head down - if you google lightning crotch it maybe what you're experiencing.

Feels like someone poking you in the cervix with a knitting needle - so fun

@kmreeve Iv just googled it and it does seem like that! Is it normal at 30 weeks for the baby's head to go down and to have lightning crotch? First team being pregnant and a worrier which doesnt help matters

I don't think fanny daggers (lightning crotch) have anything to do with where the baby's head is. DD was head down several months before I got them. DS may have been head down, not sure, as the fanny daggers spell was only short at around 5-6 months. Then they went and never came back.

Some think it's got to do with the cervix effacing, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

Comiserations though, as they can be quite painful (scraping bone feeling).
