Date on top of scan?

Hi.

I had a scan today, they said I was 9+6 by the measurements of the baby, however at the top of the scan below my name it says 14w3d? I'm confused what this date means.
I think the reason I'm bothered, I've had 2 scans so far (both private) at 6+2 and today that have given me a due date of 10th August. That means, conceived on 17th Nov,
Physically impossible as we stopped trying on 2nd Nov because we knew we would need to wait until now to try again, pre booked holidays and all that. I know sperm can live for around a week before finding an egg so I could have accepted around the 10th but is it really possible 2 weeks?

I know I had a MF on 4th Oct, we started trying on the 18th and stopped on the 2nd Nov (very short window I know but we thought we could practice Grin). I did a test on 3rd Nov as I didn't feel right which was negative and then had some mild (very mild) spotting for a couple of hours which I thought was a light period.

Am I just crap at working this all out?
Any advice appreciate but mostly why 14w3d at the top of my scan....

Thanks

I'm assuming the 14 weeks date is worked out from your last menstrual period as that would be about right from 4th October. Until your official dating scan that's what they'd work from. Are you in the U.K? Have you been given a estimated due date from a midwife, or a date for an official dating scan? From the dates you've had back from your private scans what you had on the 4th Nov would match the dates for your period but if you didn't have sex after 2nd Nov it makes no sense to me!

The date on the top of my 12-week scan was the gestational age based on the date of my last menstrual period. I was measuring 1 day ahead at that time so age by measurements appeared to the right of the scan in some images. Would the 14 week figure fit with the last period date you gave to your doctor?
