Has anyone had an OK pregnancy with anti-ro anti-la antibodies?

Sorry to start yet another thread (my last one got buried) but I am TTC and really scared about this, especially the congenital heart defect risk (also the potential risk of MC caused by the ai condition, though it is in remission)

I spoke to my GP about the risks several months ago and she wrote to the obstetrics rheumatology specialist, but they still haven't replied. I really want to know what to expect before trying properly as it were.

I jumped on the Jan Bus before, but now jumping off it again, as feel we don't have enough information. I'd like to ttc soon though as would partner, though he is concerned about my health/health of potential baby/the impact of the trauma if things went wrong.

Yes I had this too! I have lupus and my ssa/anti-ro titers were very high so I was monitored extremely closely but had a totally normal pregnancy and healthy baby (3 weeks old now). I’m not sure whether anti-ssa antibodies cause coagulation problems...that might be anti-phospholipid antibodies which often co-exist together.

In any case my treatment involved baby aspirin, clexane injections, Plaquenil (hydrochloroquine), monthly rheumatology bloodwork and weekly heart scans for the baby between weeks 16-24. After the baby was born she had a heart & breathing rate monitor for 3 days, ecg and due for another heart scan. All tests have been normal so we’re confident she’s totally healthy

Thank you so much Pompluff. You've reassured me and given me a lot of information, which is what I need. Just Googling Apherisis now.

Congratulations on your baby. I bet she is wonderful.

Were the scans every week in the last trimester?
