12 week scan in two hours and so nervous!!

Hi, I have my scan in two hours and I’m unbelievably nervous. Just so worried and praying baby is healthy. Can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong and I’m just sat clock watching!! Been the longest morning ever today!

Don’t be scared! So many posts since I’ve been pregnant (nearly 39 weeks) saying they were nervous then it’s all okay.

It’s magical seeing those first bounces on the screen. You will see it I’m sure x

@Josico58 thank you so much! You are so right, I have no real reason to be anxious but I just can’t shake it. Been trying not to think of it today but as it’s getting closer I’m getting more and more nervous. Fingers crossed all being well we will be telling DD7 tonight.

I went for my scan thinking the same. I didn’t know where I was, after they said 10 years ago I wouldn’t carry a baby.

Well seeing 12 week baby was pure magic.
Stats wise, you will see yours.

Are you having symptoms ?

Oh, and I didn’t know wheee I was either, I estimated 7-8 weeks, so expected to see a blob, or not alive 😂

@mumofone25 I know how you feel! I have mine in 10 days and I'm extremely nervous already! God help me that morning.

Praying all is ok for you - like @Josico58 said, if there are no alarming symptoms, it should be fine :) I'm also going to take that advice on board too!

Good luck! I'm sure all will be just fine. I was really anxious for my first scan! (FTM) I'm now 34 weeks today. Although every time I have a midwife app I worry as they listen for HB each time and always worry they won't find it!

This is soooo normal, I’d had two MC’s between 6-9 weeks before this pregnancy and was amazed when I got to 12 weeks and hadn’t had a bleed (I bled with my daughter at 7 weeks) then the day after I got to 12 weeks (3 days before my first scan) I had a bleed with back pains and stomach cramps and I shook all of the way to the hospital. I’d decided that I wanted to go down the surgical route before I’d even gotten into the scanning room.

I was amazed when she pointed out the heartbeat to me! Honestly, it’s overwhelmingly likely that everything will be just fine! Good luck!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to send a message and thanks for all your reassurance. Had scan, baby is well and has a heartbeat ☺️. Baby wasn’t playing ball and was curled up and doing headstands so couldn’t get measurements. Back next week for another scan 🤞

That's fab that all seemed well @mumofone25 hopefully baby will be better behaved next week! (Lucky you getting to see them again so soon!) I miss seeing my little one on the screen! x

@emma911030 yes so relived. Asked if everything looked well enough to be able to tell my DD tonight and she said yes 😃. Will definitely be lovely to see baby again.
