Hi there,

Since before pregnancy i’ve suffered with a chronic uti so been on antibiotics throughout, naturally the pregnancy has made my bladder pain worse. And I constantly need to pee. I’m also now finding that the bigger I get the more i’m having to engage my pelvic floor before coughing/laughing/sneezing etc to avoid any minor leaks!

I’m just wondering how people without pre existing issues are coping? Do you have to pee constantly? Any leaks etc? Im basically trying to assess how much of this would have been caused by pregnancy anyway or is it all down to my already broken bladder Sad

I had continence issues following my last delivery. I have to say they've got worse this pregnancy but nowhere near as bad as they were post last birth/ as I expected.

Depending on how baby is positioned, come days I have bad leaking and I always wear pads. Some days I need to go to the loo constantly.

I'm not very good at doing my exercises though! And really should.

Going to do them now.

I do remember at 28 weeks last pregnancy being very leaky and I don't think I am as bad this time. So it's definitely pregnancy related - this baby is breech so there's not quite the same pressure down there!

Thats good to know that this is probably mostly pregnancy related! I think baby has gone very much head down in my pelvis in the last few days as the kicking/headbutting of my bladder has been believable! 🙈

Meh, I wet myself a bit every day I think! Had problems from first birth that were just getting better (after four years) when I got pregnant again though. I jsut wear a Tena lady whenever I need to walk anywhere....
