30 weeks today but not petrified just ready! Haha. Why are you petrified?

33 weeks and terrified.

DC2 . Elcs this time and scared of what actually happens during the surgery itself.

7 year gap between this and dd1. Id completely shut away how to look after a newborn so feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Not sure how I'll be able to split my love for 2 humans equally. All I've known is DD.

Really dis-organised/head in the sand. Still loads I need to sort.

I'm sure it will all be fine in the end 🤣

@Chunk9 what are you scared of exactly? Have you had a difficult pregnancy?
I’m 41 weeks and being induced tomorrow, I’m terrified! X

38 weeks today, got told yesterday after the smoothest pregnancy you can imagine that baby is rather large, I won't be allowed to go over due and to start having sweeps every 3 days but ultimately got induction booked at due date !! Total shock!! Was cruising along nicely before that and now it's like RIGHT let's get him out then shall we Shock

I'll be 32 weeks on Saturday with my first baby, and I'm terrified too! I guess I'm terrified of the unknown/giving birth. So excited to meet my little girl too, though Smile

Almost 30 weeks with DC2 and DC1 is only 10 months lol!
I think Im more scared this time round! For different reasons. Having a really good healthy pregnancy and not concerned about the baby, just more the birth and how I'll manage afterwards with a newborn and 1 year old.
Had an emergency cs with DS and still havent decided whether to go VBAC or ELCS yet, but leaning towards ELCS.

Thanks for the replies!

Great pregnancy and birth with my
First. Then 2 miscarriages. And now healthy pregnancy so far. But I’m just petrified I’ve come this far and I’m going to lose her!

I think it’s quite normal to have some sense of fear but I think you should discuss with your midwife your concerning of getting this far and then losing her :( the midwife will hopefully be able to provide some better reassurance.
I’ve never had anxiety in my life but pregnancy has brought so much anxiety on not helped by raging hormones.
Try to focus on preparing for baby now, do you have things to buy still? A nursery to decorate? Nows the time it will keep your mind occupied.

Good advice @harrypotterfan1604 . Just need a few bits, changing mat, bibs etc, stock up on nappies. I’ve got lots a could focus on. Only just started picking up some girls clothes (only have my son’s baby clothes up the loft) , I’ve been scared to jinx anything by buying anything. My husband insisted on bringing the car seat down out of the loft ready when he put the xmas decorations up there. I totally freaked out saying it’s going to jinx things. Stupid overactive mind!!!!
