Out of date cheddar

Arghhh please help I’m so worried. Pregnant with my 3rd and DH just bought some cheddar which I only realised went out of date on 28th dec after I’d eaten it. Now concerned I’m going to get listeria!

Cheddar doesn't really go 'out of date' as such. It matures. Was it covered in green mould?

My understanding is that as long as it wasn't mouldy it will be fine. Cheese is sort of gone off anyway.

Thanks. That’s what I’m hoping. My understanding is that as it’s a hard cheese made from pasteurised milk the risks are low but I have OCD and that makes somethings quite challenging.
