Sharp stabbing pain normal

Hi
I'm sure this has been asked a million times. I'm 7 weeks + 4 days pregnant. Last night on my left side for a good 4-5 hours I had short sharp stabbing pains on my left side lasting only a few second each time. I have no blood. But today my nausea feeling has gone. Breasts are still sore though. Is it normal to sometimes not feel sick and is this pain just the uterus stretching. I had a chemical pregnancy back in September and am very paranoid something will happen. Thank you for your comments

Hi there
Obviously can't say for sure but I had stabbing pains with both my successful pregnancies.

I had this - it was ligament pain. Hopefully the same for you!

Hi, I am 5 weeks pregnant and getting twinges and slight shooting pains in my lower abdomen/ groin. It’s taken a while for us to conceive so I am quite anxious (massive worrier normally anyway) is this normal or should I see my GP? Thanks for any help or reassurance

could be round ligament pain although this is more common in 2nd trimester. Chat to your MW about it :) my Dr told me as long as there's no blood with pain then normally you're fine.

Remember that in pregnancy your body changes in a lot of ways so some twinges etc are normal, but it's important to tell your midwife about any concerns.

Thanks everyone. Its been a few days now since the pain and no bleeding so hopefully it was just stretching. We have paid for an early scan for this Saturday when I will be 8 weeks. Fingers crossed they find a strong heartbeat then I can relax a bit.
xx

Thank you, i’m Waiting for an appointment date for the midwife and my doctors is useless the first appointment they could give me was the end of the month. Just wish I had someone to talk to as I have no idea what to expect and I don’t want to muck things up by doing the wrong thing x
