Shnuggle Dreami or snuzpod?

Starting to looking at options for the baby to sleep in and we’re interested in the snuzpod or Shnuggle Dreami. Very different options but both claim to go to 6 months/around 20lbs, and (crucially) both will just about squeeze into the tiny space I have next to the bed.

If you’ve used either, or both, I’d love to hear your thoughts?

The dreami looks more like a Moses basket ( if Iv looked at the right thing) - we have a snuzpod and it's much larger than the Moses basket we used with our last, which lasted 6 weeks!!

My friend had the snuzpod and her babe was in it till 4/5 months old when she moved them to a cot x

GemmeFatale · 09/01/2019 09:34

Yep, it’s a slightly larger than normal Moses basket.

I’m not set on a particular type of baby sleeping device, the major issue is the tiny space available. Both options would fit.

Hi GemmeFatale

I'm from Shnuggle and we would like to discuss something with you if that's OK? If you can go our website and contact us through the "contact us" page, and ask for Adam. Thank you :-)

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 10/01/2019 21:13

I've been looking at both as well but can't decide either I've got loads of time thankfully though so going to go and have a look at them all if I can

spugzbunny · 10/01/2019 21:15

If that nice man is giving you one for free then go with that one! 😂

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 10/01/2019 21:17

I am so glad my kids are older and I don’t have to buy products with such twee cutesy names!

GemmeFatale · 10/01/2019 22:01

@spugzbunny much as I love a freebie I doubt any company is quite that generous

We're using the dreami and it's worked well for us and my DD. She's 5 1/2 months now and over 18 pounds so it's getting tight but she seems to love it!

AussieMum28 · 10/01/2019 22:17

We have a snuzpod and bub won't sleep it in. In his defence he is prem so is tiny and he just doesn't like all the space I don't think! He sleeps in the Moses basket we bought for the lounge!

For anyone wondering about the message from Shnuggle....no freebie for me. Not even a discount code for 10% off.

They’re launching a social media campaign for a new product but my due date doesn’t fit with their timelines.

Unfortunately the interaction with Sarah @Shnuggle has left me with a less than warm and fuzzy feeling about them as a company. It felt a bit grabby (like what could I do for them) and their follow up email detailing the features of their product in case I still want to buy it (you know, now they won’t be sending me a free or discounted product) felt a bit patronising and dismissive of me as a potential customer.

It’s a shame because I’d heard the customer service was really responsive and their product is really attractive looking. It probably would have been a good option for us.

And it’s possible I’m overly sensitive because this baby isn’t our first go at IVF and our early tries probably would have tied in better for them date wise.

Having said all that it’s put me off them as a company and I’ll probably go with the Snuzpod as a result. (Now off for a cup of tea, a real life laugh at this with friends and to get over myself.)

We have a Snuzpod. DS slept fine in it until 6 months when he went into his own room. It's currently stored in my Mum's loft space so I'm hoping the fabric is still in a good state and will just need a wash as I definitely want to use it again this time.

Shnuggle · 11/01/2019 14:43

Dear @GemmeFatale

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience. We really do try to be as helpful as we can. We were genuinely interested in working with you, but unfortunately the timings didn't work out.

Sarah helps with all of our customer service queries and she was trying to be helpful by answering your original question. We're sorry if it came across any other way.

If you have any other questions or we can help further please email us.

Kind regards
Adam

I have just bought a Snoozepod for my as yet unborn grandson (not for me for his parents!). It looked well designed and I liked that you could use the crib separate from the stand.

WorriedFTM1 · 11/01/2019 15:24

I have a Snuzpod 3. I went with that one as the crib bit is detachable and slightly larger (yet lighter than the Snuzpod 2). I envisaged carrying the cot bit downstairs for naps in the daytime but aside from when my son was first home from hospital I have never done that! I really rate it though and it has been great for us. My son is tiny so it should last him quite a long time. It also tilts up slightly for reflux which is good although that means you can't use the rocking feature.

spugzbunny · 11/01/2019 22:43

Should have offered a free one Adam! Lessons to be learnt there! Pregnant women take no bs.

GemmeFatale · 13/01/2019 10:02

Lots of lovely feedback on the Snuzpod. Thanks all. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could know our baby’s preferences before we buy a load of expensive kit they hate?

Follow up question. Is there a lot of difference between the various Snuzpods? I’d assumed they were much of a muchness, now I’m going to have to check which one I was looking at for dimensions when I decided it would fit. Hope it’s a currently available one.

@spugzbunny as I said upthread I never expected a freebie, I just felt a bit insulted that they approached me and then behaved so dismissively like I’d been the one to approach them or had somehow led them on.

Who comes up with these ridiculous product names?

Paradyning · 06/02/2019 22:25

To those thinking about buying a snuzpod they have 15% off at present At Boots.com. Only white and grey in stock.

SaraWD · 24/02/2020 00:09

I had exactly the same question. One friend has really recommended the Schnuggle Dreami and another friend is highly recommending the Snuzpod 3. I’m really unsure which to buy. Which did you go for in the end and were you happy? Thanks. X
