Maternity pay

Hello ladies
I'm currently 19+3 just wondering how maternity pay works
I work 30 hours per week but have have a number of days off due to back pain and exhaustion
If I am off due to sickness from the 15th week before I am due will this affect my maternity pay? I'm quite confused as to how it works?

Maternity pay is calculated using pay from weeks 17-25 of pregnancy. Do you get sick pay when you are off?

No it's unpaid if I'm off so if I am off during those weeks will it work off an average? X

Yes they will add the weeks together then work out the average weekly wage
