Nothing on a scan

I've just been for an early preg scan, based on my lmp I should be 6w 4d.

I ended up with a tv scan as they couldn't see anything through my abdomen, but they also couldn't see anything the tv way either! All they could say is I have a thickened uterine lining which is an indication of early pregnancy. However I got a bfp on the 22nd December so i don't see how my dates could be too far out as I'd have to have been at least a wk to have got a pos test result. So after googling I am aware that even if I was a week out and only 5 weeks usually they see a sac. The clear blue digi have always been behind for the dates I thought I was but went up to 3+ this weekend...

They've taken my blood and are going to ring me later today and if there are hcg levels consistent with pregnancy I'll have another on Thursday to see if there rising! I'm so confused, has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Often, early 'reassurance scans' are anything but... I'm afraid only time will tell. If possible, do anything you can to distract yourself until things become clear one way or the other.

Thanks @physicskate, the hospital have rang and said my bloods are normal for the stage I'm at and I need to go back thurs for more bloods to check they are increasing. I've got a tilted uterus she said perhaps that could make it more difficult to see anything! If the hcg is increasing then I will have another scan next week. I think your right I'll try to relax and not get too stressed about it. Smile
