Hi all, I am 26 years old been trying to concieve for the last 2 years, I have 1or 2 periods a year due to pcos. I haven’t had a period for 8 months however last month I took 50mg clomid for five days and on cycle day 33 my period arrived, although I’m not pregnant I’m feeling hopeful that it actually made me ovulate. I started round 2 of clomid yesterday on cycle day 3 and was just wanting to hear people’s expierences on round 2 to give me some hope really!!!

I was told I have PCOS but it wasn't conclusive. My periods were massively irregular and were were trying for about 18 months before we conceived. My doctor put me on Metformin and i became pregnant 3 months after taking it. Sorry I know you asked about Clomid but I haven't taken that. I was however told that if the Metformin didn't work, the doctor would put me on Clomid because it is known to have a higher success rate.

Good luck to you. fingers crossed it will happen for you very very soon. x

Have you not had follicle scans or progesterone checked? I got pregnant on my second cycle of Clomid but ovulated late that month so it was unexpected - I thought it hadn't worked! DS is 2 now and I'm pregnant with DC2, conceived spontaneously.

@mossop93 thank you! I’d recommend temping as well if you’re not already doing so as this will help pin point when you’ve ovulated and also monitoring your other signs v closely so you can Make the most of the right period!
