Negative tests

Hi Guys
I wondered if anyone had an experience similar to mine with negative tests? I'm 8 days late (which has never happened before) and I've taken a few tests over the last few days which all say negative. I took one today (first thing) and there was what looked like a very faint line but was hard to tell. I only came off in the pill in November so it would be quick but I have a son and did fall pregnant with him very quick too.

I had a similar experience. Ended up being two weeks late. Still negative tests so booked a private scan where they found there was an embryo but it had stopped growing at 4+5. There was insufficient hcg to support the pregnancy and I finally miscarried at 7 weeks.

But if you have only just come off the pill it’s probably just your system rebooting. You don’t have proper periods on the pill just withdrawal bleeds. Once off it can take up to a year to get back on track. 6 months without a period is not unusual.

I had two periods in December (weird) so who knows whats going on!

It was back in May time and currently 6+2 weeks pregnant, with everything so far being normal, so I only tend to think of it now when people post about weird things happening. Hope your body sorts itself out soon

Hi OP, I had a similar experience even down to getting pregnant really quickly and the weird last period (stopped and started for 12 days). I tested when I thought I was 12 days late (and in the days before that) and got negative results, but got a positive when I was 19 days late. Early scan a few weeks later showed my dates were off by 2 weeks, so I ovulated later than I estimated and when I thought my period was 19 days late it was actually more like 3-4 days late. But everything measured fine at the scan and I’m 11+2 now. Fingers crossed for you x
