Nobbly Knees!!

Erm, this may be a really dumb question so sorry in advance but this is my first time with this baby lark. I am now 30+1 and for the last week or so my baby seems to settle after lunch into a position where something very sharp and bony (I think its a knee) sticks "out" from just under my ribs in exactly the same spot every day. It doesn't actually stick out that much but jesus it's uncomfy. If I rub it gently it shifts for a second but then resumes position.

I get a lot of rib kicks always on my left side. Is this normal and does this mean the baby is on a good or bad position? I thought they were still meant to move around a lot but mine seems to have settled! Is there any safe way I can gently persuade him/her to move into a position that's a little more comfy for me? Or should I just put up with it because he/she is in a good place? This is starting to bring tears to my eyes.

don;t worry too much about baby being in a 'good' or 'bad' position right now, he still has a fair bit of room to move around in..

google 'optimal foetal positioning' for interesting advice on encouraging baby into a better position for birth

if you have a birth /gym ball, try leaning on it, might help take the pressure off your ribs

baby will move soon enough !

Thanks Lula - it amazes me that given he/she has a reasonable amount of room left that it chooses the same spot to give me grief in!! Have recently taken delivery of birth ball so will try that.
