Baby measuring small at 7 week scan

I've just had a private scan. I thought I was 7+2 (I was tracking my cycle and using OPKs so I'm fairly certain of when I ovulated) but the baby is measuring 6+1. Everything else looked healthy, there was a visible heartbeat which I know is great, and the sonographer didn't seem worried at all when I explained about my dates, but I can't shake the feeling something is wrong. I've had some pink/brown spotting on and off for the past week and I generally feel like my symptoms aren't as severe with this pregnancy as they were with my DS. I know each of those things on their own could be nothing but it's the combination of little niggles that is adding up to a bigger worry.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

When I went for my scan at 8 weeks, she was 3 days behind. At my 12 week scan, she was 6 days behind. I had brown/pink spotting near 8 weeks, and just before my 12 week I had bright red bleeding for about 2 hours.

I'm 33 weeks tomorrow, and she's between the 10th and the 50th centile for growth but she's perfectly healthy and right on track.

I measured 6 weeks at my 7 week scan and my baby is now 9 weeks old. Hope everything goes well for you.x

I believe measuring behind is normal and measurements can be quite inaccurate at that stage due to such tiny margins of error.

I was measuring 5w4d on a scan when my dates put me at 6w5d. By 12 weeks scam the gap had closed back to 2 days between what I measured and what my LMP dated me as. Hope this is reassuring.

I had the same as Desmondo, I was told I was 7w4d at an early scan when my dates had me at 9 Weeks, when I went for my 12 week scan they had me as I'd originally expected (1 week and 3 days ahead of the original scan date.) x

I had similar - was sure of my dates (obsessed with OPKs and with recording when we DTD etc). The baby measured 6 days behind at 5 or 6 week scan. and again at the 9'week scan. I worried for ages only to have the baby 'gain' 6 days at the 12 week scan. So it's now exactly the same due date I had originally thought it would be, based on OPKs/my dates.

I gather this is fairly common, largely because we're dealing in millimetres at that stage and, at that, measuring those though water/other tissue. A lot is also down to the quality of the equipment. So it's an imperfect process. Amazing that you heard the heartbeat!! Hope everything goes really smoothly for you.
