26 weeks early labour signs

Hi, my sister is telling me I should go into hospital as I am having the following at 26 weeks:

  • stabbing pains in pubic area (for three days now)
  • diarrhoea on and off since early hours
  • lower back pain (but tbh I've had this for weeks)
  • increased movements lower down than usual

I've called the hospital and they think it's all separate issues and said if I get period like cramps or any blood to go in but otherwise to just take it easy, but Dsis is saying I should insist to go in for monitoring.

I feel fairly comfortable in bed at home and not in unbearable pain, what do you think? I am really starting to panic now but I'm pretty sure if I was in labour I'd know about it??

No harm in getting checked out. They can put you on a CTG and reassure you at the least. Fingers crossed it's not labour.

eurochick · 06/01/2019 16:23

Diorrhea can give you period type cramps so you might be ok but it's worth getting checked.

How are you @FTMdueapril xx

FTMdueapril · 09/01/2019 21:51

@xJune88 I'm ok thank you for asking! False alarm on Sunday, baby is fine and I'm definitely not in labour, just struggling with some strange pains. Docs think it's SPD, but I'm definitely in less pain than Sunday so I'm pleased about that!

@FTMdueapril I get them stabbing pains really low almost feels like they're going straight through my pubic bone and into me, when they start they stay for a while and they really catch me off guard! So painful! So I definitely feel for you! Glad to see all is well with you now. Hope you manage to get some rest!
