What advice has anyone got on when best to have a baby shower? My baby is due 5th June. I'm not having the best of pregnancies health wise, I'm 19 weeks now and suffering so much!!!!

I've had two baby showers in the past and both of them were about 35/36 weeks pregnant!

I didn’t really want a baby shower but friends have convinced me to have one I’ll be 38 weeks x

I had a surprise one today organised by my sister! I am 38 weeks today x

I'm not having one. In Scotland you tend to get the whole gifts and congratulations after you have your little one so I'll just wait until she's here Smile

I’m not a big fan of surprises (I like to know everything!) so discussed with my close friends - we compromised at me choosing the venue and them organising the rest of the shower. I’ll be 30 weeks when I have mine Smile

@Marshmallow91 I think they're quite common here now, I've had 2 babies and both had baby showers , eldest is almost 7! It wasn't so common back then but everyone I know seems to have them now. I'm on #3 and don't really want one this time but they were both surprise showers before so I don't know if they'll still have one this time

Meant to say I'm also in Scotland

I hope my friends don't throw me a baby shower....I find it very odd buying or receiving presents before the baby is here!

I have reluctantly agreed that work can do me one, mostly because I'll be off for a year and it so be a goodbye thing. I don't want anything special though and said I'd prefer a simple bring an share during a normal meeting.

I'm having mine at 29 weeks I think. It is quite early but it logistically makes sense as I moved away from my friends and family and don't want to travel much later than 29/30 weeks. Plus I thought I should have a nice bump by then and won't be overly tired or uncomfortable.
