Hi I'm 16 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my 3rd child. When did you first feel baby moving and when we're you first able to hear the heartbeat with a Doppler?

I'm 24 weeks and baby really started moving about 20 weeks. Weirdly after the anomaly scan - cant remember the time for my first.
I think I have three heartbeat recording on my phone from the last few midwife appts for first child.

I might have felt the baby move at 16+2 and 16+3, but it might also just have been weird gentle spasms. 16+4 today - will be interesting to see if there’s a repeat performance!

At 16 weeks exactly I felt my first nerve twitch like movement, then every couple of days after that until about 18 weeks when they were more regular. Saw heartbeat on scan at 8 weeks and heard it on the Doppler at 16.

With my DD (first baby, posterior placenta) I think I could feel wriggles around 17 weeks but I distinctly remember that they were sporadic fo quite a while, I remember going to my 20 week scan, baby kicking the probe and the sonographer saying ‘ohh did you feel that?’ And I hadn’t felt a thing!

This pregnancy I’ve got an anterior placenta. I thought I’d started feeling little movements from 16/17 weeks but they’re so hard to distinguish from wind/muscle twitches. I’ve had some definite movements since (18+5 today) but again, very sporadic and less like flutters but more like something ‘rolling’ and turning around in there. No real distinct kicks yet.

As for the Doppler, I first heard the HB at 13 weeks after going into hospital thanks to a bleed. I then heard it again at 14+6 at my MW appointment. Haven’t heard it since then though!

I’m only 11 weeks so too early for movement but heard the heartbeat at my early scan when I was 7+3 (went private).

They did the Doppler at my 24 week appointment. I think they do it at this 16 week appointment in my trust, but not every trust does and I didn't attend my 16 week appointment.

I felt movement at 14 weeks with DC1 and 16 weeks with DC2. Had an anterior placenta with DC2.

First heard his heartbeat at mid wife app at 16 weeks. Very faint movements at 19 weeks, felt a bit like popping candy. It's my first so it took me a few times to realise :)

Thank you everybody, I was worrying as was struggling to find it with a Doppler.

You shouldn't use a Doppler at home. More dangerous than anything.

Hi, I am 16 weeks four days too wihh 5th dc. I have felt tiny brief flutters in the past day or so, nothing concrete! I heard heart beat at private scan at 10 weeks and again at gender scan on Sunday just past.

Won't be long until we are getting kicked all day long, try not to worry.

Heartbeat at around 6 weeks. Now 18+2 and I think I had a flutter yesterday but can't say for sure.
