Tonsillitis in early pregnancy

Hi,

I’ve just found out I’m around 4-5 weeks pregnant and I’ve got tonsillitis- chills, fever, yellow spots on my tonsils, swollen neck.

My dr has prescribed me antibiotics and I’ve been taking paracetamol.

I stupidly googled it and it’s made me worry about miscarriage and possible birth and development issues.

Has anyone had tonsillitis in pregnancy and does it cause any issues?

im in the same situation as you! im about 6 weeks and on friday i woke up with yello pus and all the other horrible things! i wwnt too the doctors and they gave me anti ds.. and on the instructions it says dont take if pregnant! i was like WTF!!! the doc knows im
pregnant! xx

I got tonsillitis when I was pregnant with my second, I was really nervous was was only around 5/6 weeks I think.
I told the doctor, they gave me antibiotics and assured me they were perfectly safe during pregnancy and I had no problems whatsoever.
