8wks 3 days - 2 weeks of pink spotting now bleeding

Hi all

I'm 8 weeks 3 days pregnant with 2nd pregnancy, 1st resulted in missed mc found out at 12 week scan that baby died at 7-8 weeks (Aug 2018)
I've had pink spotting for 2 weeks only noticed when wiped (sorry tmi) went to epau last week and confirmed pregnancy and heartbeat. Had bleeding yday and back to epau for internal examination gyneao confirmed closed cervix but bleeding was viable. So diagnosed as threatened mc. No pain or cramoing. No scan as that's booked for monday so 2 days. Worried as I'm sure it's a mc. Anyone been through anything like this

Hi so sorry you are going through this, I’m going though similar. Been spotting off an on since 7 weeks. Had a scan at the EPU at 8 weeks and saw baby with heartbeat. They noted a small bleed next to the sac. Was told it was small and not to worry as it is very common and will probably go away in the next few weeks. Am 9+1 today and have still continued to spot. It seems to happen when I strain for a BM (sorry tmi). My 12 week scan is in 2.5 weeks so I’m going to try hold off calling back the EPU unless the bleeding gets a lot worse.

The fact that you don’t have cramping or pain is probably a good sign. Best of luck for your scan on Monday 💐

Sorry you are going through the same. It’s just agonising! I’ve had pink spotting for 2 weeks which has now turned into fresh red blood so that’s the main worry. Even though no cramping and cervix closed I don’t feel reassured as in my last pregnancy I had spotting at 8 weeks, was told it was normal and cervix was closed but by the time I had my 12 week scan i’d already lost the baby. I felt the bleeding started after BM too and many mums report that as normal or that it can happen, dr just looked at me and said there’s no way that would happen so feeling hopeless.
Really don’t want to go to epau tomorrow as I feel the mc has already started and I get so anxious sitting there waiting!
I hope your spotting goes away, and the fact that they have identified where the bleed is coming from is a good thing. Fingers crossed for you xxx
