29 weeks braxton hicks or contractions?

Hi

I’ll try and keep this short. In my first pregnancy I was induced and had an epidural so really don’t know how natural labour feels. I’m currently 29+2 weeks and I’m getting strong tightenings which are only 2/3 minutes apart and feel rather continuous.

DH is in another city working and I’m with my toddler alone with no family nearby and getting worried that I might be in preterm labour. Is this just very strong braxton hicks or shall I speak to triage?

I’m just worried that its just braxton hicks and don’t want to take my toddler with me to the hospital at this time!

Sorry for the ramble, but really unsure.

I'd ring midwife and just speak to them. They would definitely rather you phone and check than leave it and you are actually in early labour. And it's what they are there for! Fingers crossed it is just Braxton hicks! X

Definitely phone to check! It’s one of those things where you’ll more than likely be ok, but not worth the risk! Good luck!
