I’ve posted before about how much weight I’ve gained and I keep gaining more!
Started off around 57 kg I’m 5ft4 was relatively slim.
I’m 29 weeks today and weighed myself to find that I’ve already gained 17.5 kg !!
I cannot beleive it as I’ve heard most women gained 15kg overall. I’m having crazy back pains and now I understand why.

I’m not working so I’m at home most of the time could this be why im gaining so much weight?

Has anybody else gained around 20kg or so at the end and did you lose most of it after?
Sad

If you go to the babycentre website there is a weight gain calculator which tells you if you’re in the realms of ‘normal’ weight gain or not.
It varies from person to person. I am 41+2 and have gained 12kg ish in total, but didn’t start gaining until 20 weeks as I had severe sickness.

I think the "normal" range is pretty wide to be honest. Google and there is some good NHS guidance on the range but in all honesty just try to eat healthily.

I’ve gained a lot of weight... I was a size 10 pre pregnancy, 5ft 8 BMI of 25 - I’ve put on a lot because I haven’t been able to exercise due to PGP - was previously working out everyday. People keep telling me I don’t look like I’ve put on weight anywhere else other than tummy.... but I’m scared to see what I’m going to be like when baby arrives. I am trying to have healthy snacks but my appetite is just enormous..... can you keep trying to have regular walks? Xxxx

In all honesty (having given birth a week ago) there seems to be a very loose idea of 'normal' for every single aspect of conception, pregnancy, birth and beyond!
If it helps I was very slim pre-pregnancy and was at the highest end of what you should gain even though my baby was small. I wouldn't stress over numbers though unless your midwife has said anything to you?

I gained loads. And I mean loads. Like 5.5stone. I was still spinning 5-6x a week and eating really well. The hospital got arsey about it and tried to insist on induction at 40 weeks and so on. Baby was finally born at 40+11, at 8lb 10. He’s now 11 months. I’ve lost around 7 stone since the birth and the first 5.5 of that literally dropped off in about 6 weeks of giving birth, the majority in the first fortnight. I still maintain the majority of mine gained must have been fluid due to the rate it fell off and that my son was born a very normal size and weight. (He was never going to be short I’m the small one of the family at 5”11. Try not to let it worry you. It spoiled the last few months of my pregnancy and I got very hacked off with them trying to insist on being consultant led and induced (community midwives were amazing and in the end I changed arrangements to have a home birth so I wasn’t resticted) good luck and congratulations and try not to worry xx
