Am I pregnant? 3 lines?

Hi everyone!! Don't know if I'm pregnant or not, this test has 3 lines

How strange. I can definitely see 3 lines, but I would retest for in case it's faulty.

It's the far right line that's the positive line but I've never seen a test with a third line too..I would pop this one down as faulty and try again! Good luck

How strange! I’d assume it was a faulty test. Test again.

How late are you?
I suggest you wait until you are a few days late then test again first thing in the morning.
That will give you a more reliable result than us internet randoms.

Jaguarana it's not usual to get a test with 3 lines and the OP I expect wanted to know if anyone else had experience of that and/or whether it meant she was pregnant. It's quite normal, if you look on the boards, for people to ask for help/opinions with their tests.

OP I had one with 3 lines once. I wasn't pregnant. Doesn't mean that you're not of course, but I do think that a test with 3 lines is a faulty test. Try again with a new test in the morning.

OK fair enough. When I had my children we wouldn't test until we were late as tests weren't as sensitive & were also expensive. Anyway I could always tell when I was pg & only tested for confirmation, once for each pregnancy. I gather from MN that these days people test all the time.

I probably shouldn't have been quite so blunt, & i hope I didn't upset you OP, but I still think its wise to wait until you are actually late & use fmu.

I think that neither the one to the left nor the one to the right are in the correct spot for a positive line, so faulty test? How odd! Never seen three! I’d retest.

Sometimes if you flood the test urine gets trapped between the test strip and the clear plastic cover strip. This can give 3 lines as the dye kind of pools where the urine is trapped.

Either that or just a faulty one. I would definitely try again.

@Jaguarana tests now say they have give you an accurate result days before your missed period so I think people who are TTC get impatient/excited and test early. Didn’t work for me though, I was 19 days late before I got a BFP, but then turned out I’d ovulated later than I thought so period was due later than I thought (only found that out at early scan). I didn’t have a clue about this stuff so I posted here when I was about 16 days late but getting BFNs and everyone said no you’re definitely not pregnant and I was!!
