Toddler slammed on my tummy

Toddler has jumped on my tummy and it really hurts, kind of like I'm winded. I'm 14 weeks. Is baby protected in there or should I be worried if she's done any damage if it's hurting?

Baby is still pretty low in the pelvis and well protected. Obviously, if you're worried contact midwife. Severe pain and/or bleeding? A and e.

Your baby will be well protected in there, try not to worry.

Thank you very much for your advice x

It'll be fine, nice and low at 14 weeks. But get used to it. I'm a trampoline for my toddler on a daily basis and I'm 36 weeks.

I know you must be really worried but it's more than likely fine. DD slid down a slide at the pool and crashed feet first into my belly when I was 14 weeks. I had a bruise and everything and baby was fine - at that stage they're tiny and well protected.

Do you know your blood type? I'm rhesus negative and pregnant with DC no 2. Throughout both my pregnancies I was told any bleeding or any trauma to the abdominal area whatsoever needs to be reported to the hospital asap so I could get an anti d injection.

Otherwise I'd say at 14 weeks it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I'm 14 weeks too and my toddlers regularly use me as a crash mat. I keep explaining about being careful of the baby, it's teeny tiny and needs keeping safe - I think they're slowly getting it..

I'm 4 weeks today and my daughter who has just turned 2 also thinks it's fun to have 'mummy cuddles' by bouncing up and down on my tummy Confused I have also been worrying that this may have an effect on the baby, especially as I'm only 4 weeks?

At four weeks, the embryo is still tucked well into your pelvis - nowhere near your abdomen. But you might want to start training her not to?
