Hi, I'm 12 weeks and 3 days and have been having a lot of bleeding. I'm not talking a bit of spotting now and again, I'm talking an almost constant heavy stream and cramping and a fair few bedding changes when I've woken up in the morning in a pool of blood because the pad hasn't coped overnight!

I've been checked out several times now and they keep saying that the baby is fine at the moment and we just have to monitor it. But they either won't or can't tell me a) what is it that is coming away to cause all this blood and b) how much can I loose before it does harm the baby. I'm just being told to carry on as normal but take it easy. My husband thinks I'm being pessimistic but I just can't help feeling like there is nothing they can do while the baby still has a heart beat and they are monitoring it until it doesn't then they will act.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I just being pessimistic and hormonal?
