Hi everyone,
I'm in my first trimester and have had such terrible skin since getting pregnant! Super congested skin with little white bumps and some pimples!!! Has anyone found a pregnancy safe skin care routine that's helped? Any product recommendations ??

I just used my everyday skincare routine - I didn't change anything up at all. My skin didn't really change at all; just depends if your skin type has changed drastically due to hormones.
Drinking water is essential though!

It's totally hormonal so carry on with your usual routine and eventually it'll sort itself out and then go through a few more changes until your hormones settle down again after birth.

I'm carrying on as normal soap and water. I've a few hormonal spots but that's it.

Also dry itchy nipples where the skin is coming offConfused but I think that's possibly for another thread!!!!

I haven’t changed my routine either (The Ordinary products are awesome FYI) and skin is surprisingly ok so far. As far as I know the only thing you really shouldn’t use on your skin in pregnancy is anything containing Retin A/retinol. Parabens are best avoided too.

I should try the ordinary products! It's been awful! I guess I have to ride it out! Nothing seems to help

I suffer from acne and have been on strong medication in the past for it as it always returns. Since being pregnant my skin has been perfect so as others said it is hormonal and will pass.

Dr Zo and Dermalogica products can be bought from salons and I would use them prior to being pregnant. Both safe to use in pregnancy i think, I just don't need them at the moment.

I hope your skin clears soon as I know too well how painful and self conscious it can make you
