Never had a coldsore before but have tingling on my lips and two pimple like spots. The scary internet is saying it’s harmful in pregnancy-is this true?!

I had shingles in October but I believe that’s a different strain. Midwife knows about the shingles and wasn’t concerned but these bumps have only appeared tonight.

Cold sores aren't dangerous in pregnancy, but maybe get checked tomorrow in case it's something else

Don't worry. I have 3 very healthy children and have cold sores since the age of 13.

What everywhere seems to be saying is its only dangerous if you haven’t had them before - which I haven’t

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow which is in the mother and baby unit so maybe i can ask
