Feeling low - anxiety is getting worse

Hey,

This is a hard one to write but I've just been feeling really low
This is my first baby I'm pregnant with and I'm almost 10 weeks now
I've had a bad first trimester with severe nausea, frequent sickness, severe weight loss and just feeling like I've lost myself a little and looking awful to top things off
I've always suffered terrible with anxiety and had support with this through professionals and I had learnt to control this on a better level but since being pregnant this has gone out the window
I always feel ill and if I feel slightly human my anxiety comes into play and sends me spiralling into a low feeling
I'm so happy that I'm having a baby it's what me and my partner have wanted for along time but I didn't know I'd be failing so much during pregnancy
I feel silly because I know everyone goes through different feelings and hard times but I just can't seem to get myself out of this down and anxious state

Any ideas on remedies I can do without having to go back to a professional as that just gets me down more and that I'm not completely alone in this x

Do you exercise much? Helps a lot as much as first trimester can be super crap. Even if it’s just getting out for a walk or hike etc. How about herbal teas also & just things that help you feel better like self care ie going movies or any hobbies you have that you love to do - whatever makes you feel happy?

Hey I know just how you feel. I'm 14+4 and have been feeling like this and so anxious about returning to work tomorrow after Christmas leave. I'm not sure your based, but I'm going to try to be a bit more active and have found a pregnancy yoga class to join. Unfortunately I'm still going through this but just wanted you to know you're not alone as I'm sure there are many other 1st time mums feeling low at this point. Keep your head up x

Hi,

You are not the only one that will have felt like this. With all those hormones racing through your body on top of your anxiety you wont know whether you are coming or going. I used to have the most awful thoughts because of the lack of control over my body. I'm not the best pregnant person. Now I'm into my second trimester, I feel like a different person. I felt like this in my first pregnancy as well. Just make sure you take some time our for yourself and try baby yoga or some sort of craft? Knitting is proven to help anxiety and depression, plus you can start making a cute wardrobe for the bump. Trust me you have got this, chin up!

@Emma1224 I know exactly how you are feeling. Anxiety and panick are among the worst things ever. Sounds stupid but Look online for relaxation meditation apps, yiunlie on your bed and listen to them and they really do help the more you listen to them. Also just take things one day at a time and don’t give yourself a hard time for feeling like this, it just happens. You will get thru it

Thank you everyone!

I'm venturing out tomorrow, I had my friend round today to feel abit normal! I've got my midwife on Monday and looking into pregnancy yoga and started making a scrap book for something to fill my time and settle my anxiety a little!

Thank you again and I hope you all are doing as well as you can do xx
