3 different boys names to choose from... which do you prefer...

DS2 is due to arrive end of september, we have three names in the running, which do people prefer?

Benjamin (mainly to be called Ben)

Max (no longer version as don't like maximus or maximillian or maxwell but like Max)

Zachary (Zack) DH not overly keen but I like it as don't know anyone called it

What do you think?

No. Absolutely positively NO. And I know what I'm talking about having grown up with a rhyming name (and yes, I have asked my parents what the hell they were thinking of)

But to the OP, I like Zac the best.

Ben is OK.

Don't like Max.

Zachary would always make me think Zachary Quack (Hairy M books). Fine name for a duck though. Zack sounds chavvy.

Benjamin is the best (and because it is my son's name!!) we shorten it to Ben though but Benjamin on the birth certifcate.

Benjamin is the name we both agree on, the other two we each like... I guess we will wait and see which one he most looks like. Ds1's name is Samuel (mainly Sam) if that makes any difference

Love them all, perhaps Max the most but this is probably because we can't have it due to our last name.

Ziggy in the BB house is called Zach so there may well be a rush on that name this summer

I like them all but there seem to be lots of Max and Ben's at the moment,so out of those 3 I would probably go for Zack.

My ds is Max and we are not snooty and we dont have a horse!!!

DS2 was nearly Zac ....I love it!

And my brother is Benjamin!!

I absolutely love them and have Max and Zach on my list for boys too! Mind you, now that someone has mentioned the big brother thing that has given me second thoughts. I absolutely hate that show and the people that go on it!

out of those three I'd go for Max.

My DS is Benjamin. I am very pleased with the name... we live in London and have only met two others since he was born (16 months ago). I know it is not an uncommon name but don't think it is toooooooo common. Like the fact he can be Benjamin while small, but Ben when he is bigger and wants to be more grown up.

Max and Ben are both nice but don't like Zach - I think it sounds like it's trying too hard (not sure if that explains it too well...)

We already have a middle name sorted (family name) ditto about the BB thing, haven't been watching it but can see that there may be a rush on the name

Max belongs to the tyrant/yob in DS class although was also the name of dashing lead in Rebecca played by Laurence Olivier...mmm
Zachary - unusual and more original than the other two. Ben & Max are quite common now - there will be hundred of them in LOs class

Everyone would know who he was - brilliant

if i had to chose i'd probably go for zachary, prefer the full name to zack
