Hi lovelies, I am 7weeks and 3 days pregnant and I have had some brown discharge. Our toilet paper is like a cream colour, so I didn’t notice it until I used a normal tissue and it was only slightly discoloured. I googled a lot of things and it seemed to give me the idea that it’s old blood and nothing to worry about unless it turns red. It isn’t red in the slightest, but today, there is quite a bit more, and it’s a lot darker. Is this something to worry about? I have had no other side effects, no pain nothing like that, and I’m still having pregnancy symptoms because I feel nauseous all the time. I’m just worried and I don’t meet with the midwife until 12th Jan so I don’t even know how to contact them. Any advice?

Hello. If I were you I'd contact the GP surgery and ask them how to contact a midwife to discuss it - it's probably ok but best to check xx

Go to your doctor just to be sure. This happened to me so I went into the emergency room luckily everything was fine. Doctor said it's old blood that my uterus is pushing out.

I had this and got sent for an early scan, lucky everything was ok for me and bleeding stopped a week later xx

I had this when my period was due. It was never red. I also got some intense pain and ended up having early scan. It was fine.

Call the doctor. Sorry to say it but my miscarriage started with brown blood. Lots of women have brown blood and it's not a problem though - I think the only way you will know is a scan.

Hi, I had just the same as you describe between 7-8 weeks. I called my early pregnancy unit and they had me in the same day for a scan - is that an option for you? I am now 19 weeks and have had several more episodes of spotting, so it can be ok. Obviously it’s early days but a scan would at least let you know what’s happening x
