Hi, i am new to this. I have pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, frequent urination etc but i have had a period last week? i just wanted to know if anyone knew if being pregnant is possible? i have also just finished antibiotics for a urine infection

@helpemout it is very unlikely (but not impossible) that if you had a 'normal' period that you could be pregnant, but the only way to know that for sure is if you take a test

Yes I will be taking one tomorrow I am just worrying very much about being pregnant

Chances are you won't get an accurate result from a pg test just one week after your period. I would wait and see if you have one next month. I don't think symptoms start as early as a week xxx

Well I had sex about 4 weeks ago, and the period was last week. I’m young and very worried about what is happening. Do you think it could be possible that I’m worrying so much I’m convincing myself I am pregnant?xxx

Very unlikely if you had a period last week. Anxiety about being pregnant could cause physical symptoms, yes.

Every month I have pregnancy symptoms. Never pregnant. Worry brings symptoms ime!!

So do you think by thinking I am pregnant I’m probably thinking too much into it?

Hormones!! I get sore breasts, waves of nausea, feel faint, my period arrived today yet feel manky!! Nature has some odd ways!

On the contraceptive pill so period isn’t due for another 2 weeks. Trying not to worry but proving a difficult challenge

They sound like UTI symptoms. You need to see a GP and check to see if the infection has cleared.

@helpemout if your on the pill and have had a period it is VERY unlikely you are pregnant... but if your young maybe you should consider something a-bit more substantial like the implant... you can't forget to take that

Try not to worry it's very unlikely you are pregnant if you had a period last week. Take a test tomorrow to put your mind at rest but it's very unlikely

It’s probably the UTI, I would go back to your GP.

If your bleeding when you pee it could be relating to the UTI, I would go back to your GP.
If you had your period last week your most likely not pregnant. Anxiety & hormones can cause all sorts of pregnancy like symptoms. I hope everything works out how you hope it will.

If you’re bleeding when you wee that is very likely to be a UTI which needs antibiotics. This is not a symptom of pregnancy. Go to the GP tomorrow.

Is 4 weeks ago the only time you had sex recently? If so, you should be able to do a pregnancy test now. I get a lot of those symptoms throughout my cycle either when ovulating or with PMT.

Sounds like you need to get that uti looked at - they’re horrible when they take hold. I’m very glad you got the result you wanted with the test.
