Hi guys

Brand new to this, so any advice would be welcome. I'm 6+4 roughly and over the last week, I have spotted randomly. Last night in bed I woke up to quite bad cramping, went to the toilet and it was quite red bleeding. As soon as I wiped ( sorry if too much information lol ) there was nothing else there and hasn't been since. When I woke up properly, I phoned 111 as I'm always thinking the worst anyway and they suggested I go to hospital. They've booked me in for a scan in two days time which I'm very grateful for. How bad does this all sound ?

Thabk you =)

If it's any reassurance, I've had bright red bleeding at around 6 weeks with my son and with my current pg. Now 9 weeks and all looking OK (So far, fingers crossed).
Are you able to take it easy over the next two days? Do you have an Early Pregnancy Unit nearby? they've been very helpful and looked after me really well.
Stay positive, and good luck with your scan.

It is reassuring, so thank you =)

I'm a support worker, so work all days and hours . . I'm on a 8am-7pm tomorrow but going to take it easy as some things are just more important.

I went to an 'Early Bird's thing the other day and got my main appointment on the 22nd, other than that, I'm quite clueless lol

Glad everything is going well for you and thank you x x

hello... I've just put a similar post up. so think everyone sees the word blood and runs a mile. Glad everything turned out ok for and it continues to do so. I've already experienced pregnancy with no problems and now have a healthy 15 months little girl.. yesterday I had a positive test and this morning I woke up bleeding but this time w a negative test... I'm so confused. I was 4 days late when I had my positive test. I'm hoping my luck is the same as urs xx

bless you laura, it's an absolutely awful feeling isn't it =(

i'm surprised you've got a negative test that quick, i thought it would take longer than that if something has happened . . ?

by the looks of it, some people find it hard to get in for an early scan, so if you're worried, phone 111 and see if they can get you an appointment booked at the hospital . . my scan really put my mind at rest, but now cos it was a few days ago, i'm thinking the worse again . . just can't win lol =) x x

If it's any consolation I bled throughout my pregnancy ( on and off, sometimes a lot, sometimes spotting) and I did give birth to a lovely girl early at 36 weeks. It's not always bad news but it is scary. Good luck

thanks both..

Yes the doctor said it should still be positive... my bleed is definately a period bleed. Just a rollacoster of emotions. Dr send urine sample to the lab so maybe see if it comes bk with anything I'm glad we have our daughter. xx

Also.. don't worry I spotted with my Daughter and constantly felt pregnant then not pregnant... i had no bump which was even worse but she turned out to be a healthy 8lbs 1oz :-)

Good luck to both xx
