Has anybody used this light therapy mask? After reading reviews I purchased it today to try out but just read on the box that you cannot use if pregnant or breastfeeding. It says the risks are unknown! It’s chemical free, uv free and uses red and blue led lights. I’m unsure what to do? I can’t understand what risks it poses but at the same time I don’t want to risk anything damaging to baby.

Does it contain vitamin A. Roaccutane treatment for acne contains Vit A which can be harmful to foetus.

Thank you for your reply ☺️. It doesn’t contain anything. It’s just red LED light and blue LED light. No chemicals at all. I’ll attach a picture of it.

Oh right. I've just had a look at the instructions. They say it hasn't been tested with regards to pregnancy, and don't know whether it would be harmful or not. For me I wouldn't risk it though. Are you having a lot of trouble with your skin? How far along are you?

I wouldn’t use it, if I were you

@Vitalogy yes that’s what I saw today on the box after I brought it. says the risks are unknown. I am having the worst trouble with my skin, so many painful spots. I’m 10+3 today. Second baby. Didn’t have any skin trouble first time round or prior to being pregnant. My face is covered, I have them on my kneck, back and chest too. It’s getting me down.

OP, could you go and see your doctor. They might prescribe a topical antibiotic. The painful spots are the worse aren't they. Hopefully as your pregnancy goes on they will ease off. I don't think it would hurt to go and see GP though.

@Vitalogy thanks very much for your help. Yes the painful ones are the worst. Under the skin and just so sore. Fingers crossed it all improves. Been trying to find something safe to use and thought I’d found something great with that light mask. A trip to the doctors is next. Thanks again ☺️
