Bleeding at seven weeks

Is anybody there to help me out plz.i am bleeding since 23rd dec when i was 7 weeks 3 days pregnant ..i did the test which is still.positive.the bleeding is o ly whem i wipe and its too much but nothing i the pants.i had pain like periods until yestwrday and today no.pain bht bleesing is still there.am i miscarrying?

You need to speak to your local early pregnancy unit. GP can help/refer, or some you can self-refer to directly - stick your postcode in here www.aepu.org.uk/find-a-unit/ They can give you a scan and/or check hCG levels to see if the pregnancy is continuing.

It is sadly possible that you’re miscarrying, although also possible you’re not. Lots of women get bleeding in early pregnancy and for many it ends up fine. Bright red bleeding is generally a worse sign than brown or pink bleeding, cramping pains along with bleeding is a worse sign than if they aren’t there, but you’d need a scan to find out for sure.

53rdway thank u for your reply.i am not having any pains.just had pain very light lile we have for periods.but my symptoms habe definitely disappeared.iv been to the gp and they referred me for the scan which is on 2nd jan..very hard to wait.

Yeah waiting is horrible.to be honest m not hoping that its something positive because i never had bleeding in my previous two pregnancies.just want to know what it is for the peace of my mind.

Best wishes to you @Hope2faith . This happened to me at 6 weeks and didn't end well BUT spotting isn't that uncommon either so doesn't happen to everyone.

What colour is the blood? Also do you have any clear blue digital around? Might be worth seeing if your hcg levels have dropped as I should have been 3+ weeks but it showed 1-2 weeks so knew it wasn't good

Get yourself to the EPU for a scan first thing Monday

Aww jimandpam sorry to hear that.the first day bleeding was pink on wipe.and then it turned to be pink and red mix.but o ly when wiping whenever i have to go.i dlnt have clearblue digital but iv been doing the normal test almost everyday.the cheapeat ones and they r still the same bfp.my scan is booked for 2nd jan o ly then i wilmbe able to know

I would be tempted to look at your local EPU and see if they do walk ins...most do! Waiting is the hardest and if you can get there earlier then the better...and then IF there's something wrong they might be able to get in front of it

But again, it might be nothing! If the spotting turns bright red and you do have sharp pains then do go to a&e regardless as this could be ectopic. Again, this is unlikely and rare but these were the things I was told to watch out for (and it would be sharp pain not cramps)

Really hoping things are all good and this is just one of those normal things (as it absolutely can be)

Jimandpam did u have bleeding in any of your pregnancies?i have two small kids already so not possible to go anywhere to wait long thats why i preferred staying at home and waiting for the planned scan which is on 2nd jan.i think i am having miscarriage but its not sharp pains or clots which i think is because its too early in the pregnancy thats why its going on smoothly

Hi, just wanted to give you some hope as I had similar bleeding at seven weeks, again at 9 and 11... I’m now 20 weeks. It can obviously go either way at this stage but the lack of pain is a positive, an awful wait until the 2nd though x

@SSRainbow 's story is a really positive one so it's absolutely normal for some people to have bleeding and still me fine

We are still TTC#1 so this was my first pregnancy and mc. Mine started out as light pink spotting, only when wiping and turned pink with lots of CM. I didn't have any pain but did start to feel less 'pregnant' hence I took a clear blue digital which confirmed the pregnancy hadn't progressed, or I was about to miscarry. 5 days later the bleeding become severe with clots and cramps.

However, please try not to dwell on my negative story as I read plenty of pregnancies with this type of bleeding! Perhaps venture out to get a CBD and see what the reading says if you can't bear the wait?

Thank u jimandpam.its v painful to lose a baby..wish u best of luck.m hoping for good too.my experience with cbd is different.it gabe me worng reading in my pregnancy =2 and turned out to be wrong.

Ssrainbow what do u think?.ladies plz pray for me .m so much worried.time is too slow and still days to scan.m not having any synptoms now.bleeding has decresed a bit too.its gome back to very light pink on wipe.jimandpam did u have the same thing happened to u ??

That's great news that it hasn't got any worse and that the CBD says 3+ as when I did it the reading was 2-3 weeks (should have been 3+) so I knew hcg had dropped.

I think if you can't get to EPU walk in then the best thing you can do is try and relax and take it easy. I know it's easier said than done! But you haven't had anymore negative symptoms so that's a real positive!

3 more days until the scan.that will show the real picture.m 50.50..positive and negative mixed feelings.the bleeding stopped over the night and u til 9 today morning and it has started again now.its so annoying and confusing as well as worrying.

Just to also say, this happened to me mid December and I bled for 7 days afterwards but my cycle came back straight away and I ovulated-just in the TWW period now so there is hope afterwards IF you don't get the news you want x

Hi ladies do u think that pomegaranate can be the reason of a miscarriage or bleeding in pregnancy??because iv been craving for pomegaranate and i ate it everyday

@Hope2faith Be kind to yourself and try and stop finding a reason for the bleeding.

It's not certain it's a miscarriage yet but I beat myself up and wondered if it was because
-I ate Brie before I knew I was pregnant
-we had sex the day before I started bleeding
-I wasn't taking folic acid until I got my bfp
-I got my hair dyed the week before (checked safe for pregnant women)

Honestly, you won't do yourself any favours by going around it all. Just try and take it easy

I had bleeding with all 4 of my pregnancies - two of which were miscarriages and two healthy. When I miscarried the bleeding was brown and the healthy times were blood/pink. Fingers crossed for you

Marmite termite thank u dear for sharing.i have experienced a miscarriage before my 2 kids.but i have never experineced bleeding or even a normal white discharge with my both kids.can u plz share how many days the bleeding last with ur healthy pregnancies?and was it just on wiping or u had to use pads ?pains??did u lose pregnancy symptoms too?and what week did it happen?m sorry for too many questions.all u guys here are a blessing for me atm as i havent told anybkdy in my family about me being pregnant so camt share these with them except with my husband who is at work.
