Not feeling sick on second pregnancy

I know this isn't something I should be complaining about but... when I was pregnant with DS (who just turned 3) I was feeling sick and vomiting from 5 weeks. I am 6 weeks with no. 2 now and I only feel mildly queasy. I've also had some light, brown spotting last night and this morning which I know is very common at this stage and rarely cause for concern but coupled with the milder symptoms it has me worried. I also had a chemical pregnancy in September so I think I'm generally more anxious with this pregnancy.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any words of advice/reassurance?

You might be carrying a girl. Some people get totally different sickness with different sexes Flowers hope it all works out for you

My sickness only started around 6-7 weeks with my second. My mum didn't have any sickness with any of her 3 babies - some people just don't get it. If you don't, I'd consider it luck 😊

Xx

Omg I was just googling this. I am 6 weeks with my first and no sign of sickness or nausea. Although about 2 weeks ago i had a little nausea but then it's completely gone. I was worried too

I wasn't sick in any of my pregnancies, not with my daughter, my son or the two which ended in miscarriages. Not feeling or being sick really doesn't mean anything.

Other way around for me! I was pretty much ok with my first pregnancy, some nausea but manageable and gone by 13 weeks.

This time (now 27 weeks) was almost constant nausea, lots more sickness, stomach ache, headaches and dizziness up to 19 weeks.

No idea if it’s anything to do with the baby’s sex as we haven’t found out, but it was a bit of a shock to feel quite so awful!

I never had any morning sickness or nausea at all with my DS. I felt absolutely normal and never had a single day of feeling slightly queasy. It always worried me as I would read stuff about others feeling really sick and a response of oh it's a good sign me and baby is growing. But don't panic, sickness and nausea has nothing to do with whether baby is healthy or not. Every pregnancy is different. My son was born healthy and is nearly 2. I just took it that I was lucky.

I have two girls and a boy. I was absolutely fine carrying the girls, but I suffered quite bad morning sickness with my son.

Hope everything goes well for you Flowers

Thanks ladies, this is all very reassuring. The spotting is still there but lighter than it was and this morning I've been sick for the first time - and I never thought I would be so happy to type that sentence!
