Anyone know of any online food diaries/trackers for pregnancy? I eat a literal balanced diet, I eat a healthy lunch, breakfast and most of the time dinner but I do like my snacks and would like to see what I'm intaking. I know there are some women out there eating processed 24/7 and I'm not that bad.

Can you just use a standard food tracker?

Just write it down?

My fitness pal app is free and will show you nutritional values.

I use my fitness pal and write it down but was just wondering if there were a pregnancy one specifically, my fitness pal doesn't factor that I'm pregnant.

You only need an extra 200 calories a day. Just mentally add 200 calories on.

Your diet shouldn't be that different when pregnant (obviously apart what's on the NHS avoidance list) and you don't need that many more calories... pretty sure it's only an extra banana

SoyDora · 28/12/2018 21:35

I thought you only needed extra calories in the third trimester anyway?

mussie · 28/12/2018 21:42

You only need an extra 200-300 calories per day in the third trimester, otherwise eat normally. When you get to the third trimester just tell it that you want to be gaining weight instead of maintaining, and it will add the extra calories on for you.

I just wanted to keep track of the balance of good stuff to bad stuff I'm eating, as I said, I eat pretty well in meals but when it comes to snacking I love a sweet treat or two everyday, especially with Christmas food around. I looked online and apparently in the second trimester your supposes to start gaining 1-2 lbs a week.
Just want to make sure I'm giving my little one some good foods next to my cravings.

I think My Fitness Pal will do the job fine as your intake should be the same as normal during your second trimester. In the third trimester you can just add 200 calories on.
