Hello. I'm all a bit new to this. I am 1 day late with my AF... 15 DPO. I have done a couple of tests because I'm very impatient and a line appeared on a cheap strip test. I have read that this could be an evap line. I felt sick, have had headaches, felt very bloated and I've also has very very light spotting for a few days last week. But I haven't had any other symptoms and now I'm having cramps which feel like period cramps but I don't normally get them. When's the best time to test? I'm really praying for my BFP

false positives are unlikely but if AF doesnt arrive then test again in a couple days. a line is a line, I just used wilkos own brand tests and got positives at 13dpo and again a week later.

cramps are normal too.

Thank you. I'll try again in a couple of days. The line is so faint I could hardly see it. My OH said he saw it to so glad I wasn't imagining! I'll try again on New year's day if af isn't here

Faint is fine! It could be evap, yes. But if it came up in the time, it could well be your BFP. It should get darker every day. Test again tomorrow with FMU. Use an FRER if you can but if you're late don't worry too much.

FX for you.

I'll see how I get on in the morning. Thank you

I did a test this morning. The positive line is faint not sure what to think of the results. I've heard the Tesco own tests aren't very reliable

I think that's very much a positive, congratulations!

Hay28 · 29/12/2018 20:27

Thank you gebs. I don't know why I'm still doubting it. I did a cheap strip test straight after which was negative. My head's all over the place

different test brands have different sensitivities - so the strip ones might need more hcg than the tesco one to show a positive. the packaging might state the sensitivity.

the blue stick is def positive. :)

Istef thank you for the confirmation! X

Just wanted to add, previous googling frenzies indicated that some/many think the cheapie strip tests are unreliable. I had a negative on one of those with FMU with my first pregnancy and then a positive later in the day with a different brand.

Hay28 · 30/12/2018 10:46

Teacup tale Alot of people have said the same as you... But also negative stuff about the Tesco sticks and they are very misleading. I think I'll get a first response or clear blue today and TRY and hold out until the morning. I did a cheap strip this morning and nothing!

I haven’t had a problem with Tesco stocks, but then I’m just one person. They told me negative and were right and when they gave me a positive, they were right. I have heard that Superdrug own tests are very good. They are pink dye, which is supposed to be better. Fingers crossed you get the result you want!

ScotsBaby2 · 30/12/2018 11:50

That looks a strong positive though plus all your symptoms I would say you are pregnant. Congratulations xxx
