Large for dates

Hi all.
Has anyone had any experience measuring large for dates on scan?
I'm measuring perfectly, but had a scan a few weeks ago (at 27 weeks) due to 2x reduced Fetal movements and it showed the baby to be just above the 90th centile.
I had another scan today at just over 30 weeks (another reduced movements-the joys of an anterior placenta apparently) and the baby has jumped up quite a bit. Well above the 90th now.
Everything else on scan is normal and baby is all in proportion. Fluid is completely normal too.

I started the pregnancy slightly heavier than usual, but BMI was higher side of normal and urine/random blood sugar test has been fine. I've been booked in for GTT and to see the consultant.

Anyone else had anything similar?

My baby was large for dates. Always measured ahead (particularly his legs).

GTT was normal. DS was 9lb 3oz at 39+2 when he made his appearance. He was just a big baby :)

I’m overweight too, but we have big babies in my family.

Ah thank you!
I'm curious to know how the test goes this week. I have no diabetic symptoms but the sonographer seemed quite convinced.
Ah well, let's see what happens Smile

It confuses me to be honest, I'm not entirely sure that they can be that accurate.

My son, I measured 71st, never needed any scans etc and then he was 9lb2!

I'm now 35 weeks with a girl, just above 50th, did get sent for a scan because they thought she hadn't grown but was 4.8lbs at 31 weeks and have been told if she carries on this line, she'll easily be a 9 and a half pounder. You'd think she'd be more than 71st at least if she's tracking to be bigger than my son?? Lol xx

Hi - my baby has measured over the 97th percentile since week 16 (I’ve had about 5 scans) I’ve been sent twice now for the GTT as they are convinced I’m diabetic but both negative so just a big baby! They don’t seem concerned at all.... so could be the same for you!
