I've had bleeding that was a miscarriage and also that wasn't. It could be either. Can you get some medical advice?

Good luck.

I've rang my doctor the spotting has stopped it was just when I wiped and was brown he said to ring back if I get pain or its bright red but I seem okay now, thank you xx

I had that kind of bleeding at 5 weeks. Scared the crap out of me. The worst week of my life by far, I had to wait to get a scan, not knowing if I had lost my very very very wanted pregnancy.

All was well. Apparently bleeding at this stage is fairly normal, I was told something to do with the uterus cleaning itself or not knowing it's pregnant.. or something. Anyway I now have a beautiful healthy toddler.

Wishing you all the best @Bethany0903

Can you get in for a scan soon?

As you know, it can mean miscarriage but one instance won't prove or tell anything, it's the next week ahead whether you have more or not that is significant now, and it's a horrid waiting game.

The positive you can focus on right now is that it's dark coloured - meaning it could be old blood, and it's only one instance which could just be implantation.

Stay positive, but stay cautious. Wishing you all the best x

I've had bleeding in two of my pregnancies, neither was a miscarriage. The first time they said was a sign of thrush and was given treatment for this. The second time there was no known cause. But I had the bleeding on and off through both of these pregnancies from about 6 weeks until the end. You may be offered an internal scan and examination in your EPAU unit.

I had spotting with both (successful) pregnancies. First was probably implantation bleeding (about right time) and second I think it was called a sub-uterine haemorrhage. Some kind of clot in my uterus wall that passed.
