IVF - 7w2d

I've just had a second viability scan today. Saw a heart beat. It's 'perfect'

And now I'm bleeding. Bright red blood. Lots.

It'll be my 4th miscarriage this year.

I know there's nothing to be done & that we might still be ok. But my heart is breaking. I just needed to tell someone :-(

Oh Lily that’s utterly shit Flowers

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 28/12/2018 01:25

Sorry for your loss x

Eh1112 · 28/12/2018 01:28

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've had six losses and it's miserable. Dr Gorgy at the London Fertility Academy helped us in the end and after starting treatment we went on to have two healthy babies. Take care of yourself. Thinking of you xx

LilyWasThere · 28/12/2018 04:12

Thank you xx The bleeding has slowed so I guess it'll be the EPU for me in the morning. My usual seat. It's just so shit.

I think I'm running out of steam with this journey. I have the most perfect 3yr old and it's not fair on her to keep doing this. It's getting harder and harder to bounce back each time.

Have a scan at the EPU on Monday. Waiting for a call back from the IVF clinic, although I'm not sure what they'll be able to do...

It's sounds like you've done everything you can do so far. It's good news that the bleeding has stopped. Thinking of you and your family x

Honeybee79 · 28/12/2018 10:32

So sorry to hear you're going through this. It is totally shit Flowers

Winona1 · 28/12/2018 11:01

So sorry to hear this! Fingers crossed for you x

Halfahunnerstillastunner · 28/12/2018 11:47

I'm so sorry. If there is a tiny chance things will be ok, I am crossing fingers for you. If not, I'm sending lots of hugs. It really is just shit, and no other words can help. I'm so sorry.

NotTodayHun · 28/12/2018 11:55

This might seem like a silly question, I've never had a viability scan .... is it an abdominal one or vaginal one? I only ask because maybe if it was a vaginal one, that could have aggravated your uterus and caused the bleeding? I really hope everything works out for you Thanks

LilyWasThere · 28/12/2018 14:38

It was a vaginal one - and that's very much what I'm hoping... but the scan was at 1000, so seems a bit hopeful that it caused the bleeding in the wee small hours?

Clinic have told me to up the progesterone and, basically, keep my fingers crossed!

Just been for the scan - and there's still a heart beat!

I'll take boring and straightforward from now on...!

Fantastic news really pleased for you i might have something in my eye x

AnnaMariaDreams · 31/12/2018 11:31

Brilliant update! Just to try and reassure, I think bleeding is more common in IVF pregnancies. I bled loads of times- later on it was diagnosed as placenta praevia but in the first trimester just one of those things. DS is a very lively 6 year old.

newyearnotsonewme · 31/12/2018 11:31

So pleased for you :-) I've had a few losses now and finally I've got to the second trimester :-) it's such a scary and anxious time but hopefully luck is on our side this time :-) xx

Si1ver · 31/12/2018 11:33

That's great news. Everything crossed for an unadventful and boring nine months for you.
