Sprouted potatoes when pregnant

Hi all.

I'm currently 29+4 with my first baby. I was going to cook some jacket potatoes for dinner today only to discover that the whole bag has started to sprout! They aren't going green and are still firm.

Usually I would just pick off the sprouty bits and then cook and eat the potato as normal, but I don't know if this is recommended in pregnancy.

Does anyone know, or does anyone do this when pregnant? Thanks Grin

As long as they aren’t green they’re fine for so you’re good I think!

I’ve done this through 3 healthy pregnancies, never occurred to me I shouldn’t. I would just stick with the NHS list, if it’s not on there then carry on as normal.

It's fine. I do this all the time.
