Hey! How far along are you?

I'm around 10-11 weeks with baby number 5, and have been SO worried about today because I love Christmas but I get terrible sickness.

I don't know how I've done it but somehow I've bloody managed. Still got this horrible taste in my mouth though! I hope you can get through the rest of the day xx

StargazyDrifter · 25/12/2018 16:58

I'm 11 weeks and feel very similar today, OP. Hang in there!

It's been hard-going and nothing tastes like it usually does. A couple of sips of DH's wine have made me feeling even more 🤢, I think. Can't wait to get to bed either. Just think, next Christmas will all be so different! 💐

BirthdayKake · 25/12/2018 19:41

Yep you're right Stargazy! Hopefully by next Christmas we'll have our beautiful new additions under the tree!

BirthdayKake · 25/12/2018 19:50

PS I've just started to sip prosecco mixed with lemonade... DH is a bit worried about it but we've googled and I don't think it's the worst thing you can do in pregnancy! I just hope it doesn't make me more sick!

mumoftwo1988 · 25/12/2018 19:53

Hi I'm 8 weeks with baby no 3 seems to be worse this time round. I think it's the lack of energy... when i stand too long I feel faint 😔

mumoftwo I'm exactly the same :( in fact, I spend most of the day just sitting down! So bored!

Whisky2014 · 25/12/2018 20:35

I'm 6 weeks with my first. I have such a sore back and for the last week have cramps every day. Like growing pains...is this normal? I've just gone upstairs to charge my phone but I could so fall asleep. Listening to husband and his family getting drunk downstairs and I'm so bored

Lightbulbs · 25/12/2018 20:36

I'm totally with you. I'm 8 weeks and have been diagnosed with HG. I was supposed to be travelling up to Wales with my DH and DD1 for Xmas but we couldn't go ( because the car makes the sickness even worse). Embarrassingly, to make it even worse, I've got a real problem of incontinence when I start being sick SadBlush

BirthdayKake · 25/12/2018 20:48

Sorry to hear you two are also suffering :( people say "ooh you'll be better in a few weeks"... But they don't realise that every hour is like a day right now and "a few weeks" seems like a lifetime away. I've never really had sickness at Christmas before so it's typical it's happened now when I've got four children to look after! Oh well, bed time soon I guess...

Gillian1980 · 26/12/2018 00:12

Hugs to you all.
I’m 17 weeks and mine has been terrible this week. Fortunately managed to get some antisickness tablets from the GP yesterday which has made today manageable.

mumoftwo1988 · 26/12/2018 11:29

Don't wanna jinx it but I feel maybe my medication may be starting to work as I have not been sick yet today still feel poop tho

I've eaten next to nothing at Christmas dinners. Baby is gonna have a sweet tooth as I am forcing savoury healthy food upon myself for nutrition only. I don't want it. Today I was sat at a table full of people sniffing and grunting with colds and one person didn't realise they had a very funny nose - I had to leave the table. the person is very old and a bit senile so nobody judge...but not ideal when you're pregnant!
Christmas desserts, however, have been a different ball game.

gimmeadoughnut123 · 26/12/2018 20:06

Meant to say runny nose

Whisky2014 · 26/12/2018 20:26

I'm o my jist 6 weeks..am I still to early for morning sickness? For the last week and half I have felt a little sick but not been sick and today felt pretty normal. Only symptom i seem to get everyday is cramps/sore back.

mumoftwo1988 · 27/12/2018 11:36

My sickness started at 6 and a half weeks. But in my last pregnancy not till 7 weeks. It's different each time.
