Hi, is anybody else suffering with awful skin? I’m 9+5 today and my skin is horrific. My face, kneck, back and chest are covered. Anybody used any products which helped?

I struggled with this towards the beginning and it self resolved after a couple of weeks. Think it's just hormones going out of whack

Yes OP, horrific acne here, mainly on face and just a little on chest. Mine started at 5 weeks (I'm carrying twins though) and now at 14 weeks it's still there. It's awful as it really affects my confidence, don't like getting too close to people / looking them in the eye etc. and just want to hide in the house all the time really. It's also very painful! GP said there's nothing they can prescribe for it that's pregnancy safe and to 'enjoy it as a symptom on pregnancy' - easier said than done!

I tried a couple of natural things like tea tree oil and witch Hazel with no success. Chemist suggested scrub washes but they just made it more red raw and sore so I've now given up really and trying my best to ignore it!

Congratulations on your pregnancy OP 😊

@CritterTamer it’s awful isn’t it. I’m feeling exactly the same. Really knocking my confidence and everyday I wake up with more 😩. I’ve suffered since I found out 6 weeks ago. I am hoping they calm down. Suppose we just have to deal with it as a side effect and atleast it’s for a happy reason. I didn’t have bad skin with my first pregnancy. Congratulations to you too 😊

I suffer from cystic acne but my skins has been perfect since I was 8 weeks. Touch wood. I normally use Zo Obagio or Dermalogica products, they really take the redness and the nip out of it. I'm sure since they're both topical they'll be fine in pregnancy. It truly is one of those things that people don't understand until they suffer from it. Really isn't a nice feeling and is so painful and worse, can leave scars. Fingers crossed it clears for you soon

OMG yes!
So many spots, whiteheads just keep appearing all over my face no matter what I do. I really hope this is just a phase!
