Bleeding at 9 weeks :-(

Hi everyone, this is my first pregnancy, I'm currently 9 weeks + 3 days.

Went to the toilet after waking up earlier and theres bright red blood in my pyjama bottoms 😞 not enough to have soaked through to my bedding but definitely much much more than spotting!

The bleeding seems to have tailed off now and has changed to very light brown and watery: Not really in any pain either.

I have an appointment this afternoon for a check up (not a scan i dont think).

Could do with a handhold 😞

Try not to panic yet. Bleeding in early pregnancy is way more common than I ever knew. I had a subchorionic haematoma and bled like that between 6 and 16 weeks. Healthy, happy baby at the end of it. Hopefully the appointment will give you some reassurance. Good luck.

I also had a bleed like this at around the same stage. It was also a haematoma with me. Everything was well and DS is nearly 8.

Haematoma led to a bleed at 12weeks. Bright red blood. He's now bouncing around the living room dressed as s superhero.

The bleeding seems to have stopped now/is lighter than light brown in colour. I keep getting the odd period-type pain but not sure if I'm imagining it! Fingers crossed they can give me some answers this afternoon!

Agree that bleeding isnt always a miscarriage and can be fine. I know someone who bled for months and her baby went to term with no issues. So fingers crossed for you here that all is well.

Just been to the out of hours GP, she has referred me for a scan at the hospital tomorrow morning. Just went to the toilet and had a bit of brown discharge. Its going to be a long evening/night!!!

I'm 8 weeks today and had 3 lots of red bleeding this weekend but only when wiping... but a bit like the start of my period.
