Hi all... I had cramping in my lower abdomen this entire week. Not v severe but period like cramping and had brownish discharge on Monday accompanied by cramping. Contacted midwife she said it would be old blood and if pain persists I need to contact hospital. Yesterday I noticed reddish discharge while I wiped after peeing. Got so so scared went to hospital where they checked heratbeat of the baby which was fine which relieved me and my husband a lot. They examined cervix which was fine. They also took urine sample which had presence of nitrates and lil blood(may be from discharge) so midwife said it may be UTI but will have to wait for the reports to confirm. Its report would be back in two days. Doc said all seemed fine and asked me to take rest this weekend. The lower abdominal pain is really freaking me out. Is it eptopic pregnancy or UTI or symptom of miscarriage or something else thoughts cropping up my mind. Woke up at 5am as got lil cramping in lower abdomen so got worried. The lower abdomen cramping makes me worried. Is it normal at 19 weeks. The pain is not too sever or constant but bit sharp at times. am under some stress due to some family issues since few weeks. My husband been very supportive but I get stressed easily. yesterday on seeing reddish discharge I started blaming myself.

The ultrasound would have shown up an ectopic pregnancy if there was one. Ring your midwife/maternity hospital and have a chat, they won't mind.

I had this at 19 weeks in my first pregnancy, it was caused by the baby kicking so hard Hmm. He was a very big healthy baby when born
