Hi guys, just after some advice. I'm now 6 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and I'm getting more and more worried. With my first pregnancy I was pretty much bed bound and in and out of hospital for the first 12 weeks due to hyperemesis but this time around I literally had about 3 days of sickness which was when I found out I was pregnant and then that's it. It's just gone. I know this is a very bad sign :( the only symptom i have is that I'm feeling super tired though that could be put down to the fact that I have a 7 month old sleep repellent baby! And I'm snappier than usual with OH but could easily be down to the fact that I'm super stressed, got so much going on. Any advice? Spoke to EPU and they won't do anything unless I have any bleeding :/

Hey @spacefacexxx, I know totally where you are coming from! I had my symptoms very strongly for 2 weeks and then in the last week or so, my symptoms had completely stopped. There was the odd sign, however it wasn't enough to convince me everything was okay. Paid for an early scan yesterday and everything was perfect. Totally in my head and got to see it's little heart beating. Turns out I was much more further along than I expected! From 8 weeks to 10 weeks (symptoms stopped at around 9 weeks). I know you are a little earlier than me, bit from the stories other have shared with me, I'm sure it will be the same for you X how certain are you that you're 6 weeks? If your anywhere near bham, would recommend peek a baby in quinten X best of love and luck to you Flowers

Let me add too, epu did nothing for me, it was mw that recommended the scan as they are reasonably priced at £45 and you get 5 scans x

I'm fairly certain of the date of my last period however I'd just stopped breastfeeding so this could have thrown my ovulation dates off maybe? Plus the last period I had was so light so I may be a bit further along. Oh that's an amazing price!! Wish I was near but unfortunately I'm on chesterfield! I've looked into private and the cheapest I can find is £60 from 8 weeks and that's a price I'm more than willing to pay right now!! Preparing for the worst though

Every pregnancy is different, and symptoms do come and go at the beginning. Statistically, it is very likely that everything is fine. But I understand how worrying it feels, particularly as it was so bad last time, and you have had some days of proper symptoms.

It’s such a weird feeling, wanting symptoms. All of my early good days were marred with “is my baby dead?”, and all of the bad ones with feeling dreadful.

I’m in roughly the same area as you (Chesterfield isn’t my closest hospital, but I’m booked in there), and I’m impressed that you managed to find such a cheap early scan! When I was worried in early pregnancy, I wasn’t able to find anything nearly so cheap. (Had a suspected ectopic, so the doctor sent me off for a scan, in the end, which very much put my mind at ease on the baby’s position, and gave me fleeting reassurance that it seemed to be alive at the time, but that reassurance fades over time! Still, knowing it wasn’t going to kill me accidentally was nice.)

I hope that everything goes well for you, and that it just happens to be that your body is handling pregnancy much better this time.
