Poor you!! The best advice is lots and lots if sleep and rest and drink lots of water. I found this really helped. Go to bed early and just have water available at all times. I read being tired and dehydrated make symptoms worse! Hope you feel ok!!

No advice but I'm in exactly the same boat with second pregnancy and a two year old. I'm feeling quite sorry for myself at the moment! You can get anti-nausea/ sickness tablets prescribed although I haven't found them massively helpful. Agree that lots of rest is good. Maybe there'll be Christmas miracle for us! Flowers

Same here! 6 weeks and feeling rubbish. We're planning on telling close family at christmas time but wanted to keep it quiet with everyone else until the 12 week scan ideally - really don't think we're going to last that long though! Already had 3 days off work this week with sickness.
My little girl is almost two as well and running around after her is almost impossible without feeling like i'm going to vom everywhere🤢already back on the meds from the GP as i was sick from 10 weeks through the whole pregnancy first time round!

Maybe put yourself in charge of pre-preparing vegetables the night before, and duck out of all of the cooking. Maybe ask a relative to take over your bit if DH isn’t up to the task on his own. Better still, duck out of all cooking completely!

Still time to get a prescription for yor doctor. I managed pregnancy 1 with severe morning sickness, including a brief hospital stay, but just had to make it through work then collapse. No way I could have managed it second time as sickness worse and had to look after ds1.

5 weeks and sickness startingEnvy was hoping to get christmas out of the way. We are also hosting. Oh been told to bring bread and dairylea home tonight. Calling gp tmw for cyclizine.

Spargle · 20/12/2018 21:47

@Hairgician I should pass you my Dairylea! I found it really useful for a few days, and now have 2 boxes sitting in the fridge! (Doesn’t go off until March - might see if I can cook with it in a few weeks...)

Sailinghappy · 20/12/2018 21:55

Awww hope you feel better on the day!! It’s so hard to do all the Christmas activities with a little one plus being pregnant! I’m due next week and at the other end of it - exhaustion, heartburn, swollen feet etc it’s awful!!! Come onnnnnn baby!!! We will get there! Hope you have a magical Christmas ladies!

KnightlyMyMan · 20/12/2018 22:04

I love the ‘get loads of sleep’advice! 😂😂

Shouldn’t be a problem between hosting Christmas and having a 2 year old, right? 🙈😂🙄

Hairgician · 20/12/2018 22:06

Sleep at christmas?? What is this??🤣🤣 i have a 5yr old and 7mth old. Crackers crisps and coke for me i think. Survival mode for christmas. We havent told anyone yet and no plans to. Will pretend to be drinking on the day

Drogosnextwife · 20/12/2018 22:09

Sip on some Lucozade sport, not the fizzy one. I feel your pain I had horrendous sickness right through both of mine. By the end I would sit and cry because I just couldn't take anymore.

lucy2204 · 20/12/2018 22:14

I'm 26 weeks now and have had what you have since we found out (@2weeks) I had a glass of full fat coke once a day and it sorted me out straight away! Give it ago,if you don't like coke Dr pepper will do.

I’m 13 weeks and have had to 5ake back my offer of cooking Christmas lunch as my nausea is so bad I can’t cook anything. My family are brilliant and have made alternate plans but my Christmas plans are to lie on the sofa for the morningnwatching dd open presents then lie in bed all afternoon whilst dh and dd go to family for lunch etc. I just can’t manage it, and I’m on 3 different drugs! It’s just rubbish and it’s the hardest most debilitating thing ever.
