Someone told me that there is some sort of free service where you can go through the notes of your labour and what each bit means?

I'm expecting baby number 2, and very keen for things to be different, and just wondered if anything could be identified in my previous labour that would be helpful not to do again?

Just to add - when I say different... couldn't fault the care I received or the midwives

You can have a “time to listen” with a senior midwife to look through your notes with you. This used to be done by Supervisors of Midwives but they no longer exist. I would get in touch with a labour ward senior midwife via your community midwife.

It has different names - round here it's called either "birth reflections" or "birth afterthoughts" but it's available everywhere. If you're already pregnant with number 2, ask your community midwife how you can access the service.
