Booking in Appointment

I found out I was pregnant on 5th December (a very much longed for first pregnancy after almost 19 months of trying!). I self referred online to the maternity services in my area (East Sussex) and about 5 dyas later got a date for my 12 week scan through the post.

However I haven't had any contact regarding my booking in appointment? Is this normal, 2 weeks after a self referral?

I'm currently 6weeks 2 days pregnant (which I'm pretty sure of after 18 cycles of tracking and using ovulation tests!) - when should the booking appointment be? And does anyone know if this appointment comes through the post or whether they call you to arrange this? I understand things might be busy as it's close to Christmas but I'm so new to this I don't know how it all works!?

Thanks @tissuesosoft, I don't have a number for them? I just filled in the self referral online?

It's a good idea though, maybe I can phone my gp and see if they can give me a number for them 🙂

Have you tried googling the name of the maternity unit? Or if it’s part of a main hospital try through the switchboard.

Doesn’t sound that unusual. Though my letters came together in the post when I was just over 8 weeks. I self referred at around 6 weeks. I had my booking app at 9+3 (ish) but actually I had to go back a second time when I was 10w as one of the blood tests could only be done after 10 weeks.
