Hello,

Just wondering if anyone's had any similar. I find this really hard to explain to DH so I'm sorry if this sounds a bit weird.

For the past 2 days when ever I lay down I get god awful pains at the base of my spine, then if I lay on my left (it is meant to be the left isn't it?) I have an awful awful contraction like pain in the centre of my bump about 2 inches over my belly button.

That pain lingers until I can move onto my back again and then the pain is in my bum and lower spine.

I'm 22 weeks with DC2 and I can't remember this with my first. Baby is kicking loads, very strong kicks this time for only 22 weeks to the point I see my belly move so I have no worries in that case. DD1 is 2 so I am constantly on the go.

After the pains when I stand up I can feel the pain radiating in my bum and the base of my spine, then down the very top of my back legs. I'm getting these pains nearly every day and my (not so compassionate) midwife says I just have to get on with it.

it's not like any pain I've ever felt but on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the labour pains I had last time) it's a good 7 when it's bad. Also not really like the Braxton hicks I had last time either? Can you get different types of braxton hicks? Confused

Sorry forgot to add, I've had the bum and lower back pain for a good few weeks but the pain in my bump has come along in the last 2 days as well as the bum pains Blush

Triage. Ring them and ask for advice. It might be something nerve related, but they can give you advice. Maybe see your gp if I t continues after triage's advice?

Does it fit the description for pelvic pain PGP or SPD? Even sciatica?

Or is it cramp like possible strong Braxton hicks?
